Lady of the Lake (Star Wars Lightsaber Version) by Rabittooth Lady of the Lake (Star Wars Lightsaber Version) by Rabittooth
Ever since seeing the movie "Excalibur" as a kid, the image of the Lady of the Lake with the sword Excalibur in the still water made an impact on me. Here's a mashup version with another favorite "sword".

Excellent work again!

 And if the Lady leaves the blade on when she throws it, Arthur had better be careful how he catches it. Otherwise he might get more than just a flesh wound.

Apologies if you've seen this already but I had to share. I swear it showed up in my inbox from my sister while reading your reply above.

I'm also fond of this Lego version of John Carpenter's The Thing. [link]

*Warning!* Might not be safe to watch with your young daughter about; extreme body horror...with plastic Lego people. Oh, okay, there *is* a couple of cuss words in it but the gore is rather santized compared to the movie.

Does the light saber stay lit under water?
Does it glow under water?
Does it get repaired if you throw it back in to the lake to her?

Inquiring minds want to know! ;)

In the good old days when Marvel made SW comcis there was a storyline from a planet named Iskalon. Issue 74 &75.
Iskalon is a waterplanet where Luke used had to use his lightsaber after an explosion underwater, so yes it works fine underwater.

I pictured the hand rising out of the water with the saber unlit, and then immediately ignited by The Lady of the Lake. :)

Will you do another with the Sword of Omens?

Great!

Speaking of the Lady of the Lake, if you get the chance, read Knight Life by Peter David. Quick synopsis; King Arthur comes back and becomes mayor of New York. Imagine the Lady of the Lake giving Arthur Excalibur in Central Park.

Thanks! I just might. If you're interested Bernard Cornwell did a series of three novels that are a very very cool re-telling of the Arthur legend. The three books are: "The Winter King", "Enemy of God" and "Excalibur". Very very awesome series.

I haven't seen that movie in forever. It followed the legendary Arthur story pretty well from what I remember. Was it the ending that confused you?

Ah yeah. She was kinda an apprentice to Merlin. I think he harbored a secret love for her. She "tricked" him into telling her that spell and she betrayed him.

Yeah. It's an odd film. Made in the late 70's I think. It gets pretty weird. but .... still cool.
